Spring Break
So this entire week it has been raining. I went to a sleepover on Monday, it was one of my teammate's 11th birthday. It was really fun, although we all went to practice on Tuesday and were exhausted. Needless to say, though, now I am sick with a pretty bad cold, which stinks. Hopefully I won't be as sick if sick at all by Saturday morning because I am going to help with an Easter egg hunt at my church and I can't really find a replacement and I am working at the 5:00 easter service on Sat. The rest of my spring break I have been spending taking care of my Australian shepherd because she had her spay surgery on Monday. She has to wear a cone and all that, so that's a little annoying. I am excited for her to be able to start playing again. =) Now we have to watch her and have a leash on her every second, which is a little time consuming. So it's kinda been a relaxing spring break, but at the same time it hasn't because I also had to change my research paper topic from global warming to something different. That was not cool. I went to two libraries and could not find anything global warming. I found stuff, but it was all how to fix global warming, etc. So now I changed my topic to why athletics are important in our society, and that type of thing. I personally like that topic better than global warming because I was not enjoying writing on it. Anyway, that's all for now because it's time for dinner. Have a great Easter and rest of spring break! =)

Rainy Day
Today was a very very rainy day. It was pouring all day, not just sprinkling or barely raining, but pouring all day until about 5 o'clock. That was really fun taking Sydney out, she looked like she got out of a bath when we came in. Plus, you kinda get sick of being in the house all day except when you take your dog out. Right now I am working on a paper on the Founding of Rome. Not the most fun thing in the world. I might be going to a place this week called Sky Zone. It's a place where there are rooms that are all trampolines. The walls, the floor everything. Fun!
I made this really good yellow cake the other day, actually it was from a box :p, and I made peanut butter frosting and it is delicious! :) The frosting was homemade though.
In church, specifically my youth group and small group, we have been talking alot about loving and not judging people. Like the saying, "love the sinner, hate the sin." It just made me think alot about how, so many Christians are always saying that they can't be around this certain person because they do this certain thing. And granted, if they are doing something really terrible, yeah you don't want to be around them. But I think people, specifically Christians, should not always put a "label" on people, or judge them. In youth group we just finished a message series on a book called Unchristian, by David Kinnaman. And the people who spoke (and the book) were talking about how non-christians view Christians. And they were saying that the top six reasons why non-christians don't like Christians were: 1. We are hypocritical. 2. Too focused on getting converts. 3. Anti-homosexual. 4. Sheltered. 5. Too political. 6. Judgemental.
I was just thinking, wow, that is so true. So many of us are like that. Before you try to "convert" somebody you should talk to them and create a relationship with them. You should let them know that they can trust you, and you aren't just focused on getting another Christian to add to the church family. This series was so good, and I think it was what me, and all the other high schoolers needed to hear in order to do something about it. I think I am going to get that book, because all of the staff at my youth group read it, and they did a series on it, so it has to be somewhat good. ;) That is what has been on my heart lately. Well, I should get back to that lovely paper, and this post turned out to be really long. :p That's all for now.

Super Bowl Weekend!
It's the super bowl! So, I actually don't really watch the super bowl, I just couldn't think of a better title. Even though I am a Brumfield, I don't watch the super bowl. We got a puppy! Her name is Sydney and she is an Australian shepherd. I love her to death, and she is adorable. I am level seven in gymnastics now. Yay! School is going good, I really like algebra. =) Nothing much has been happening. I might be going to a I love the 80s Valentines Day dance with my church. That should be fun =) Well, that's all for now! :)
